The ForkingMad Logo
Recently I was asked about the the ForkingMad logo, and what it meant. Not that it's much of a logo -- let's call it an emblem.
I thought I'd write a few words to explain it!
I started the ForkingMad blog thirteen years ago. I had already been writing a technology blog for a number of years; competition was tough and there was a glut of tech news. I therefore struck upon the idea of a more personal blog.
I still wanted to write about technology, but also inject my life and hopefully make it more identifiable as a personal, independent platform.
The name came to me one day when gardening — I've written about that event.
The logo

I needed a graphic to identify my new adventure, so I sat down and gave it about two minutes of my time and came up with what you see now.
I figured I would be writing about various passions: Technology, Food, and Gardening. Since then, the remit has expanded to "anything I want to say". haha
The logo remains the same.
- A white plate representing food.
- The food fork is replaced with a spade for gardening
- There's a computer mouse attached to the plate, for technology
- And finally, there's a little devil in the middle, just to address my impish side.
So there you have it — the what/why of the FM logo.
You can sleep easy now, with this new knowledge.
