Title: Surgical weeding
Today was another phenomenally warm and sunny one. I think we have had at least two solid weeks of wall to wall sunshine. The temperature was hovering around 27°C, as it has done for several days. The high temperatures have really hindered any serious work in the garden.
Under the shade of a large tree, I set about weeding a gravel path.
When I do my weeding; it is generally with surgical precision, so much so that I wear surgical latex gloves! Yes, I know that sounds odd. The gloves keep me clean and are better than heavy gardening gloves as they give me the dexterity needed to remove weeds with finger tip accuracy.
Before I undertook my mission I snapped a picture to share with you. Here are the grassy invaders in part of my gravel path, complete with a shadow of the tree:
Finally, after an hours precision weeding, the result:
I had hoped the large tree would shade me well, however I omitted to factor in the movement of the sun; by the time I had completed my chore I was being slightly baked.
And here we see my container with the results of my exercise.
My next action was to use my fingers to open a beer :-)
