A post that should've been a blog

I just read a post on social media that should have been a blog post.

Honestly, it was so long, great content, well researched. But it was a feckin' post on the fediverse. Worse still, it was on Mastodon which has a limit of 500 characters per toot. The author, in her wisdom, split it up into multiple posts. WTAF!

I usually get bored with that style of posting and stop reading, but I found the content interesting.

Sadly, social media posts quickly disappear and are forgotten for ever. Consigned to the big social media vomit-bucket in the sky, mixed in with photos of cats or plates of food; rants about politicians; inane jokes.

People, if you learn one thing today -- get a flippin' blog and get your creative juices captured for ever in a structured and searchable format.
