A good 'emergency call' from mum
I had an 'emergency' call last night from my 80 year-old mother.
She is obsessed with tennis, and watches tournaments all around the world. In the olden days most matches were shown on the BBC. But as promoters have become greedy, the fans need to subscribe to various paying services. She has until recently managed with Sky Sports and Amazon Prime. However, to her horror the French open is not on either of these.
She dissovered that it's showing exclusively on TNT Sports - which seems to be part of Discovery+. I really can't keep up with channels, and I don't watch TV much.
Last night's emergency was 'how can she get this and' can I make it happen ?' A few clicks later and me agreeing to part with £31 per month, it was then available on her tablet (she calls it her Tennis Tablet as that's all it does - stream tennis).
She thinks I have superpowers as I can do it quickly.
I'm happy with this type or emergency call from her.
She said she will send me the £31 via bank transfer.
I will cancel the subscription in a month as the open will be over.
She's happy.
